David was very good at art. His handwriting was also excellent from a very young age. At primary school they were given marks out of ten for handwriting. I still have his writing jotter. He averaged nine out of ten. I also still have a pencil drawing of Mahatma Gandhi which he drew for one of my lessons when I was at teacher Training College
